The cutting of the Cord

ERIN: Brian got to cut the cord. He was so eager to do this the first picture is of him holding the scissors upside down. The pediatrician had to point this out so he could flip them around before he actually attempted to cut the cord for real.
BRIAN: I was a bit disappointed when I was not able to cut the cord when Evan was first born. Due to some complications during the birth it was very important to get him checked out right away. So when the pediatrician said that I could cut the rest of the cord I was very happy. However, once I had the scissors in my hand I became very nervous. As Erin mentioned, I realized that just as I was about to cut the cord I had the scissors backwards with the curved end facing him. After correcting my mistake I was so happy to be able to cut the rest of the cord.
