The Baptism

July 9,2006: Evan celebrated the holy sacrament of baptism at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in White Rock. Special thanks to Father Anthony Ho for performing the baptism and Godparents Auntie Kristy and Cousin Danny Wilson from Arizona whose mom (Great Auntie Bev) was kind enough to stand in as his proxy.


Both sets of grandparents and both great grandmothers were there to celebrate as well as many other friends and family members. Even the late grandma Peg was present in a way as her Rosary beads, that she was believed to have used as a child, were passed on to Evan... a very special gift.



Baptism
...this light is entrusted to you
To be kept burning brightly.
These children of yours
have been enlightened by Christ.
They are to walk always
As children of the light.

Dear Evan,

May this special 'Birthday', your baptism day be just the beginning of your love and faith in God.

You have been blessed with loving, adoring parents and a wonderful Aunt Kristy, your Godmother who will help nurture you and your faith as you grow.

May you always remember this special day through the memories in the photo album your Grandma Barb has so lovingly chosen for you.

I will always think of you as one of God's miracles.
