IT IS OFFICIAL. EVAN IS WALKING

BIG DADDY B - It is sort of funny how quickly children pick things up. Evan this week decided that walking was a good thing and ever since last weekend, he has decided to take more steps every day. He is now walking around the house (still using help here and there) but for the most part he just walks into the room with his amazing smile.

Tonight Erin went out for a work function and I left Evan in the living room playing while I was getting dinner ready for the both of us. He was quiet and then all of a sudden I could feel someone in the room. Just as I turned around there was Evan standing behind me looking up at me with his big smile as to say "Hey Dad what are you doing and yes I walked in here all on my own"

Erin and I both think it is so strange and funny that he is now walking around the house. We do not even have to hold him or follow him. He just pulls himself on anything that is close and then decided to walk around.

This is great as this means he is very close to getting his bike. I always thought that I would wait till he could at least walk before putting him on a bike. Well that day is now so he will be on a bike very shortly.

I will see if Erin can get some video for the blog and especially his amazing "I can walk now" smile.
