Father's Day

ERIN: Super Dad with his little sidekick
SUPER DAD: One of my gifts for Father's day. A fun surprise.

Evan's first ferry ride. We went to Victoria to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cropp and Uncle Bob, Aunt Rachel and cousin Emma. Evan missed his first ferry ride since he slept through the whole thing... Big surprise.

He was actually awake on the way back though.

ERIN: Brian's first Father's Day was celebrated by going to the Island to be with his own father who was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. Then the whole family did the "Do it for Dad Walk/Run for Prostate Cancer" on Father's Day. Brian ran the 8km run while the rest of the family walked the 3km course with Evan and Emma in their strollers. And yes... Evan slept through the whole thing.
BRIAN: Well what can I say about my first Father's day. It was one of the most amazing days in my life. Actually the whole weekend (4 days off to celebrate the national holiday in this family)was great. I was able to get a lot of things done in the house that I have been wanting to do. Got to sleep a bit more than normal. Evan got his dad a beautiful picture frame for his desk at work with a very good picture of Evan in it. One of my favorite pictures actually. We did the run/ walk in Victoria (secretly wanted to beat the walkers and did by 2 minutes). Thankfully they had to stop to get some breast milk from the car. lol. Overall my first Father's day was amazing. I am so lucky that Erin and Evan are in my life and without them both I would not have such an amazing day. I love you both so much.

Getting to know cousin Emma

Erin: Evan with his Uncle Bob and Emma
BRIAN: It was also a great time seeing my brother, Rachel and Emma. I always thought that I would be Super Uncle for the rest of my life and feel very fortunate that I am able to be Big Daddy B and to be able to share Fatherhood with my brother as well. Bob just had a way with Evan that made Evan smile all the time. Emma is growing so fast. She was playing shy with me from the start but after an hour in the house, was sitting on my lap asking me to read her a book. Well was gesturing for me to read her a book since the amount of words she can say is around 6 now. She is so adorable. For the first time in over 25 years we were able to have 3 generations of men in the family sharing our Father's day together.
